Student visa help

An offer from a university is the first step; the visa is the next. We check your file, help you book the appointment and prepare you for it. The decision is always the embassy’s, so we make sure the file you hand in is complete and correct.

What we do

Your counsellor and our admissions team work on your file with you, and talk to you and your parents on WhatsApp until your passport comes back.
  • File review

We read every page of your file before you submit it: the application form, your university letter, bank statements and translations. We look for the gaps that delay or refuse a visa, such as a balance that dipped below the amount you need.

  • Document checklist

A checklist written for your country, your age and your university, including the Egyptian certificates that must be legalised and translated, and the order to do it in.

  • Appointment booking

Help booking your appointment with the visa centre the embassy uses (VFS Global for the UK, TLScontact for France and Germany, BLS for Spain), and a check of what to bring on the day.

  • Interview preparation

Practice for the interviews some countries hold, such as the Campus France interview for France: why this course, why this country, and how you will pay for it.

Free visa guides

Prefer to do it yourself? These guides list the documents, money and steps for each country, checked against the embassies’ own information for 2026–27.

Start earlier than you think

Most visa problems come from money and certificates that were not ready in time. Count back from your course start date.
4 to 6 months before
Get the money ready in the right account. The UK needs it held for 28 days in a row; Germany needs a blocked account opened before you apply. Start legalising your school certificates.
3 months before
Collect your documents and translations. For France, start the Campus France “accepted” procedure as soon as you hold an offer.
6 to 10 weeks before
Submit the application and attend the visa-centre appointment. Germany usually takes 6 to 8 weeks; a Spanish study visa needs approval from Madrid, so apply as early as you can.
2 to 4 weeks before
Collect your passport, book your flight, and keep copies of everything for when you arrive.

Timings from UK Visas and Immigration, the German Embassy in Cairo, Campus France Egypt and the Spanish Embassy in Cairo. Typical, not guaranteed.

Questions

Do I have to be a UniPal student?

No. Every country with an online package has one for students who applied to university on their own or through another agency. UniPal students get a reduced rate.

Is visa help free?

No. Your first consultation with UniPal is free; visa help is a paid service, with the prices shown on this page. Embassy, visa-centre and government fees are separate and you pay them yourself.

Can you help my parents visit me?

Yes, for the UK: we have visitor visa packages for parents and family. For other countries, ask us.

What if my visa is refused?

The decision is always the embassy’s, and our fees are not refunded if a visa is refused. If you were refused before, send us the refusal letter: the packages for other applicants include a review of a file prepared elsewhere.

Where can I travel with a European student visa?

A long-stay student visa from France, Germany, Spain or Italy also lets you travel in the Schengen area, 29 countries since Bulgaria and Romania joined fully in January 2025, for up to 90 days in any 180.
